A Different Version NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Announced

It has not been long since the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 was introduced. In addition to being a slightly more affordable graphics card, the card, which was found to be successful for its target audience in gaming performance, also managed to become one of the models preferred by the players.

The performance of the card has been liked and sales are going well, but a different issue is currently on the agenda for this model. Because  NVIDIA has released a different version of the new graphics card.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 OEM Special Edition Has Fewer Cores

In the arrangement made on Nvidia’s site, it is clearly shown that the number of CUDA cores has decreased in the special version, which is stated to be prepared for the OEM.

The base model currently on sale has a GA106-150 GPU unit and offers 2560 CUDA cores . We confirmed this when the RTX 3050 series was first introduced. The situation is different in the new version.

Although the GPU unit is not officially stated, it is not exactly certain, but the GA107-140 variant is the new version, which claims to use a GPU, and the number of CUDA cores is limited to 2304 .

There is a significant core difference. Of course, clock speeds also vary accordingly. The original model with 2560 CUDA cores has an increased clock speed of 1.78 GHz and a base clock of 1.55 GHz .

On the other hand, the new OEM special version GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card has an increased clock speed of 1.76 GHz and a base clock speed of 1.51 GHz . The difference is not very high, but there is a difference in the end.

We see that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 version , which is said to come specifically to the OEM market , will not make a difference in the memory part, and the only thing that will change will be the cores. Other features are kept constant.

An image showing the dual-fan design for the card has also been published, but we don’t know exactly what Nvidia thinks with this model. Official confirmation has come, but as we have underlined, the model is said to be exclusive to the OEM market. Maybe we’ll have a chance to see special systems using the slightly more affordable RTX 3050. For now, this part is not clear.
